Beth Fusaro    
 

was born in Tampa , Florida , but later moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she spent twenty years creating functional and decorative stoneware at her studio, Sun & Moon Pottery . She is one of eight potters featured in a video sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, entitled “Potters of the Eastern Shore.”

Her background in clay includes workshops with several nationally and internationally known potters, including David Leach, Robin Hopper, Toshiko, Tom Turner, and Makoto Yabe. With degrees from the University of South Florida and Salisbury University , she has taught at colleges, elder hostels and in adult education programs.

In 1995 she and her husband Ben returned to Florida . They now live in Tallahassee where she maintains a home studio and teaches pottery classes at the Lafayette Arts & Crafts Center .

Over the years, private and public galleries on the east coast of the U.S. have featured her clay creations. Now her work may also be found in several Florida galleries as well. It is a part of private collections through the U.S. and in a number of foreign countries.
