was born
in Tampa , Florida , but later moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland
where she spent twenty years creating functional and decorative stoneware
at her studio, Sun & Moon Pottery . She is one of
eight potters featured in a video sponsored by the National Endowment
for the Arts, entitled “Potters of the Eastern Shore.”
Her background
in clay includes workshops with several nationally and internationally
known potters, including David Leach, Robin Hopper, Toshiko, Tom Turner,
and Makoto Yabe. With degrees from the University of South Florida and
Salisbury University , she has taught at colleges, elder hostels and
in adult education programs.
