About Me…

 Degrees in political science at Holy Cross and the University of Paris, followed by a master’s in theology at Harvard under Bernard Lonergan and Edward Schillebeeckx, and a doctorate under David Tracy at the University of Chicago.

 

 In more than 30 years of pastoral ministry: served as DRE in Washington and Boston; led parish missions; taught every level from kindergarten kids to doctoral students; provided consultation and training for more than 100 parishes, ten national ministry associations and a dozen dioceses; edited a diocesan newspaper.

 

 More than 200 articles published in Commonweal and Liturgy magazines, Harvard Theological Review, National Catholic Reporter, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, Catholic Free Press, Église des Hauts de Seine, and Laywitness. His book Liberating Leadership analyzed collaborative ministry. His column CrossCurrents now appears weekly on parish websites.

 Since entering private practice in 1991: provided consultation to more than 100 parishes and a wide range of religious organizations.
