Sarah Levisa BUCK was born on October 9, 1829 in Monson, ME. She died on August 29, 1910 in Oakland, CA. She was buried in Oakland, CA. Information, apparently from death record, states her age as 79-10-19; this would indicate her birth year as 1830.

In her obit from the Oakland Tribune, it was stated that she came to California by wagon train, in 1850. Also that she was the first teacher in Eureka, also taught school for many years in Sonora, Tuolumne county. She was survived by two sons; Fletcher A. CUTLER, who was born May 4, 1863, in Chinese Camp, Tuolumen County, and died May 11, 1945, in San Francisco, who survived by a daughter Mrs. Lucie Wladyka, of Los Angeles, the other son was T.P. CUTLER, of Crescent City, the daughter was Mary L. CULTER, who some time after 1917, was married, for in her brothers obit, it lists her as living with him in San Francisco, at 701 Post, and her name there was listed as Mrs. Mary Partington, who it looks like she died in San Francisco, on Dec. 31, 1961, at age of 93 years.
Would like more information on these people, but am real looking for information on Mary CUTLER.
