3776. Roger BUCK died on November 10, 1693 in Woburn, MA. He was born ~1617 in England. Came from England in 1638 and settled in Cambridge, MA. with father, William.

A land grant of the General Court of Land in Shawshene (Billerica) 7 MAR 1643 was given, but no division seems to have been made until 1652. Among the grants were: Roger Buck, Lot No.5, containing 10 acres. William Buck, Lot No.91, containing 20 acres. Roger was a plowright and served for a time as Public Executioner, in which capacity he was ordered to inflict twenty lashes upon a culprit in 1668. Whether the order was carried out by him does not appear in the record.

Savage's Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of Mass. list Nathaniel, Samuel and Ann as children of Roger. Other records claim a Nathaniel and Ann with corresponding dates as children of Samuel and Rachel Leven Buck. The latter is assumed here. Also assumes is that Samuel Buck, b. 1669 is also a child of Samuel and Rachel. Roger BUCK and Susannah UNKNOWN were married in 1640 in Cambridge, MA.

3777. Susannah UNKNOWN was born about 1625 in Cambridge, MA. She died on September 20, 1685 in Cambridge, MA. Children were:

	i.	Samuel BUCK was born on February 6, 1642/43 in Cambridge, MA. He died on September 21, 1690 in Cambridge, MA. Some sources give birth year as 1643.
	ii.	John BUCK was born on September 3, 1644 in Cambridge, MA.
1888	iii.	Ephraim BUCK.
	iv.	Mary BUCK was born on January 23, 1648 in Cambridge, MA. She died on August 31, 1669 in Cambridge, MA. She was christened.
	v.	Lydia BUCK was born about 1650 in Cambridge, MA. Marriage date of 3 MAR 1673 taken from "Genealogy of BUCK Family." Other source - "Massachusetts General Personal Memoirs" gives date of 3 NOV 1672.
	vi.	Ruth BUCK was born on November 6, 1653 in Cambridge, MA. She died on September 21, 1682. BUCK booklet lists death date as 2 SEP 1683
	vii.	Elizabeth BUCK was born on July 5, 1657 in Cambridge, MA.
