July - August

Hi. I know it's been a while since I have been here. That doesn't mean that Jenna has stopped growing or hasn't stopped being a little girl. Her birthday is coming up at the end of this month and I am hoping to get a good photo of her. I will be sure to share it with you when I do.

She has been getting her fair share of cuts and bruises, that's for sure. She has a little boy friend at school and ever since he has started there she has been getting banged up pretty good. Aside from that she has whacked the coffee table a couple of times and most recently bit her tongue. I mean really bit her tongue. It's healing ok thankfully but she got it on both sides. It didn't look pretty. Again, that she did at daycare.

Interesting as usual, the articles from Baby Center that Beth get's in her email. Some good advise and sometimes old news. Jenna is right up there with what they talk about and she is sometimes ahead of the game. Here is the last one that Beth sent me, Your 23-month-old's language and cognitive development: An exploding vocabulary.. Now note that I only link to or post the ones that Beth sends me. I figure that there must be something to it for her to be sending it, so I post it.

Hi. I can't say it's the first time this has happened but I will let you in on something that hurts; being rejected by your kid/daughter/son. OUCH. Here is another link from Parent Center to explain more. I think next time I will go for a walk with them.

Hi. The reason why it's a different color is because I want you to see it and realize that I haven't been here in months. Well, I haven't written in months anyway. I have posted a couple of pics and put some updates on the Bravehost site. SO I am here to tell you that I have the best daughter in the world. Even though she can be a brat sometimes she is soooo good. I guess she is rally smart too. That's what they tell me, I mean, I have nothing to compare her to.

She is doing well and is very healthy. I was looking at video's and older pics and boy she looks different. I will post some new pics soon over on the Bravehost site, maybe even some in here. As for right now I should make another page since it is October. I am keeping the style since I like it so follow me. There is nothing new on this page so you can move onto this link.

Hi. First I want to share a pic I took today, Jenna, what a nut. She insisted on wearing that, btw.

Ok, so this has been quite the week. Beth has been gone and it has been me and Jenna all week since Tuesday. I have to say, even though I may jinx myself, Jenna was an angel! I can't believe how well she had behaved for me, how many time and how much she laughed, how silly silly silly of a girl shea can be. Not to mention all the dancing and singing she did. Now the kicker, I got her to go to bed without a bottle every night. Now that is huge I guess since she is almost 2 and she probably should have been off the bottle a while ago. Now she is. I didn't have a hard time with it either really. I talked her into it, or I should say out of it. It has been 'just the way it was' when she went to bed, a ritual almost. Grab the blanket, kiss and hug daddy goodnight and go with mama to get a bottle and go to bed. She has already lost weight! lol... I don't think that is the reason why she has thinned out a bit but she has lost weight. julie at daycare noticed that and mentioned it today. Could be from the bottle. (not)

So we had a good week, I have a lot of pictures that I haven't posted, and Beth will be home tonight. I am asking advise now, since I never paid close enough attention I guess but I need more baby recipes. I was struggling to find things to feed her. It is good/lucky for me that she can pretty much live off vegetables. She LOVES veggies! Me on the other hand I had a bowl of ice cream for dinner one night. Hey, cut me some slack, it was 8:30 by the time I got her to bed and even started thinking about dinner for myself. I should throw one more pic in here just because. Let's see..... How about this.

Soooo friggin funny. I have never seen Jenna act like this before. She was watching Blues Clues and I guess she is really understanding what's what now. She was so excited about Joe and Blue being able to get back home on the flying carpet that I thought she was going to fall off the chair. It was definitely one of those times that a video camera being handy would have been ideal. She was jumping up and down and yelling and clapping. For a couple of scenes she was in suspense! Should have seen the look on her face. It was great!
