We flew from Atlanta to Honolulu via LA on Wednesday and first stayed with our friends, Melissa and Greg. Don has known Melissa since she was 2 years old. Our first outing was to the Dole Pineapple Plantation on our way to the North Shore for snorkeling. |  |

On Friday, we all flew to Maui and stayed at the Marriott Resort at Lahaina. Greg is in the army, stationed on Oahu, Schofield. Latest reports have him shipping out to Afghanistan soon. |  |

In addition to more snorkeling and swimming, we drove to the top of Haleakala, the dormant volcano. |  |

Saturday it was back to Oahu where we checked into the Marriott Waikiki. Nice view, huh. |  |

We went back to the North
Shore and swam with the turtles. They come right up on the beach and
take naps. Amazing!
If you stand in the water, they swim right up to you. |
