| David reigned as king in Hebron before moving to Jerusalem. | |||||||||||||||
| While at Hebron, David had six sons. Each son had | |||||||||||||||
| a different mother. Figure out which order they were born in. | |||||||||||||||
| But don't look it up yet. Use the clues to figure out which | |||||||||||||||
| son was born in what order and the name of their | |||||||||||||||
| mother. | |||||||||||||||
| The Sons were Absalom, Adonijah, Amnon, Ithream, Kileab and Shephatiah. | |||||||||||||||
| The wives were Abigail, Abital, Ahinoam, Eglah, Haggith and Maacah. | |||||||||||||||
| 1. Adonijah, who tried to be king in place of Solomon, was the fourth son. | |||||||||||||||
| 2. Ahinoam of Jezreel bore the first son. | |||||||||||||||
| 3. Amnon was not the fifth son, or the son of Maacah. | |||||||||||||||
| 4. Absalom killed his older brother Amnon. | |||||||||||||||
| 5. Kileab was the son of foolish Nabal's widow Abigail. | |||||||||||||||
| 6. Shephatiah was not the third son. | |||||||||||||||
| 7. Maacah, the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur, bore the third son, who was not Ithream. | |||||||||||||||
| 8. Eglah had the sixth son. | |||||||||||||||
| 9. Abital had David's fifth son, but not Ithream. | |||||||||||||||
