Washington, D.C. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued and continued an alert to all divers, dive instructors, and dive centers to be watching for SCUBA divers that may be in involved suspicious activities.   Additionally, the FBI (the Bureau) is interested in any information concerning suspicious individuals who may have started dive training but for whatever reason did not complete it or was not interested in obtaining their C-card after completing the class.

Sparked by the events of 9/11, the Bureau is also interested in any other suspicious circumstances or events that may be deemed out of the ordinary.

You should not contact the FBI with lists of individuals unless you have reason for concern.  If you have any such knowledge, call the Bureau at 1-919-233-7701.
