Pronunciation Guide

At most award ceremonies, the Commodore or Race Chairman stumbles when trying to pronounce SIOCHAIL. In an effort to minimize this difficulty, the following guideline for pronunciation is provided. The best way to pronounce the name of the boat is to use the two English words, "she" and "shall". The emphasis should be placed on the first word.
