  • Write up of my evaluation of the SAINT firewall testing program
  • Write up of my evaluation of Port Sentry
Tank (Iverson 486 full tower, miscellaneous workstation/server, Caldera 1.3)
  • Write up of my experiences with the 2.06 version of SAMBA
  • Write up of my evaluation of the "Webmin" html-based admin tool
  • Try configuring a caching-only name server
Falcon (Compaq Presario 5070 minitower, multimedia machine, Linux-Mandrake 6.5)
  • Write up of my successful installation of the ALSA ESS Solo-1 drivers
  • Try Logictech Color Quickcam Linux drivers that were recently developed
  • Continue to follow the LinuxDVD project for MPEG-2 video decoding using Creative dxr3 card

  • Try the HP Officejet 500 series drivers avail. in kernel 2.2.13 (I now have a refurbished HP Officejet 520 color printer/scanner/copier/fax!)
