In accordance with the election procedures described in our section's by-laws, section members may enter additional nominees for one or all of the section officers proposed by the nominating committee. If alternative names are presented, all terms of the by-laws must be met.
The nominee receiving a plurality of votes cast wins that office. Section members should mark and return their ballots to the Chairperson of the Tellers Committee by Friday, May 29, 2009. The ballots should be sent to:

Tellers Committee
Robert E. Black Jr.
100 Saint Regis Drive, Chapel Hill
Newark, DE 19711- 3823

Your ballot vote can also be sent by email from your normal ISP address or by a special ISP account that will be set up during the voting period. If you want to use this special ISP address to preserve your anonymity contact the Webmaster for the special instructions.
To cast your ballot with your normal ISP use
This Link to open up a email message window. Once the message starts simply mark the ballot as you desire (including alternate nominee information if desired) and send it to the deaiaa email account without changing the subject or addressee fields.

SPECIAL NOTE: (Please do not leave your AIAA Membership Number information off the ballot (it is the number found on your Aerospace America magazine label). That number is the only means we have to verify that the ballot is valid and any member has not voted more than once. The Tellers Committee chair will compare the number to a numbers only list of those in the Delaware section provided by the Membership Committee. Once validated, the vote will be tabulated in a spreadsheet. FYI, the chair will disassociate the ballot information from any email sendee address when received and forward the message (with the sendee address removed) to the entire committee for redundancy of record keeping.

In addition to the section officers, committee chairpersons and committee members for the 2009/2010 term are to be appointed but do not have to be nominated or elected by ballot. The committee chairpersons work with the new officers as council members. The anticipated committees for next year include membership, education, public policy, young members, career enhancement, honors and awards, programs, newsletter, publicity, precollege outreach and regional activities council representatives. If you would like to serve on any of these committees please let us know.
