ATK-Elkton is the major employer of those in the Delaware section. The distance to Newark, DE (home of the University of Delaware) is 8.5 miles from ATK-Elkton. About 78% of the members live within a 34 mile radius of the plant. The geographic centroid of the membership is located about 4 miles NNW of Middletown, DE and about 10.6 radial miles from ATK-Elkton.

The two members living the farthest away from ATK-Elkton, as well as most Eastern, are about 88 travel miles to the southeast near the Atlantic Ocean in Rehobeth Beach, DE.  The member living farthest South is in Seaford DE about 84 travel miles from ATK-Elkton. The members living to the south are primarily employed by ILC-Dover in Fredrica, DE (about 10 miles below our state capital on Route 113 - Dover [red star outlined in white]). The Western most member lives about 48 travel miles away from ATK-Elkton in Chestertown MD SW of Elkton.
