Delaware, Maryland, Southern New Jersey, Northern New Jersey, Eastern New York, Metro New York, Western New York, and Pennsylvania make up the Middle Atlantic Region of Babe Ruth Baseball.

Babe Ruth League, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball and softball competition for players ages 5-18. Established in 1951, there are now over 8,600 leagues and 52,000 teams representing almost one million players in the United States and Canada. Babe Ruth League has a total of over 1.9 million volunteers. It is the fundamental belief of Babe Ruth League, Inc. that every child with a desire to play baseball or softball be afforded that opportunity.

     The Babe Ruth International Board of Directors, at their annual meeting, unanimously elected Middle Atlantic Regional Commissioner Ray Lotierzo into the Hall of Fame.
     Ray has been involved with the Babe Ruth program since 1965. He has served on the local league level as President, Treasurer and Team Manager. He held the position of District Commissioner, Assistant State Commissioner and State Commissioner for the Southern New Jersey Babe Ruth Leagues. As a regional commissioner Ray is an automatic member of the Babe Ruth League Board of Directors.
     Ray enters the Hall of Fame along with former Colorado State Commissioner Robert Nelson, and the current Pacific Northwest Regional Commissioner Gordon W. Welbourne. They join more than 200 individuals and organizations who have earned the distinction of being inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
