MUSEUM PASSES

Children's Museum of Portsmouth - The library pass allows reduced admission ($2.00 per person)to the museum for 4 people.

Currier Gallery of Art - The library has a pass to the Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester. The Currier is considered one of New England's finest regional museums. The pass allows free admission for up to 4 adults. Children under 18 are always free.

Museum of Fine Arts - Once again we are able to offer a pass to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. This pass allows two people reduced general admission ($5.00 per person) as well as half price admission to the special exhibits, on a space available basis.

Canterbury Shaker Village Each pass entitles adults to a $5 general admission fee and children (6-17) to $2.50 general admission. To find out more about the Canterbury Shaker Village go to Canterbury Shaker Village

McAuliffe -Shepard Discovery Center and Planetarium (opening March 6, 2009) - The library pass can be applied for up to $36.00 off the cost of admission to the Discovery Center. The cost of attending a planetarium show will be $3.00 per person. The library pass may be used by one patron per day, towards one show per day. SEE Science Center - Each pass alows one family a visit to SEE. "Family" includes members of a household plus grandparents. SEE is open seven days a week. Check out current exhibits and hours at SEE Science Center

PHOTOCOPIER

The library photocopier can reduce and enlarge as well as make copies on letter size, legal size and 11" x 17" paper. The cost of copies is 5¢ a page for letter size and 10¢ a page for 11"x 17" copies. Black and white photocopies only.



FAX MACHINE

The library has a FAX machine available to the public for both sending and receiving faxes. The fax number is 679-6774. The current rates are: Sending - 50¢ for the first page, 10¢ for additional pages. There is no charge for faxes sent to local or 800 phone numbers. Receiving - 10¢ for each page received



COMPUTER

The computer and printer are available during regular library hours. We have available word processing as well as high speed internet access. Please call ahead of time to sign up for computer time. Due to the risk of viruses, only library disks purchased from the library may be used.


NEWSPAPERS AND PERIODICALS

We offer a wide variety of newspapers and magazines for research, recreational reading, and study. These can be checked out as easily as any of our books.


INTERLIBRARY LOAN

If you can't find what you are looking for here, we can check the holdings of other New Hampshire libraries including the college libraries. It usually takes one to two weeks to receive a book from another library, but is well worth the wait!
