THOMPSON, BRUCE, 41 - of Galloway, went home to be with the Lord after fighting a 5 month courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind, for a while, his loving wife Roni, his four children: Elizabeth (16), Cody (13), Wade (9) and Cheyenne (1) all at home, his parents Lewis and Jean Thompson of Galloway, his grandmother Elsie Thompson of Absecon, his sister Tracey Thompson of Galloway, his sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Calixto Arce of Longview, Texas, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind many brothers and sisters in Christ.Bruce was born and raised in Galloway. He graduated from Absegami in 1983. He was employed with Troy Builders of Ventnor for many years. He also worked for Harvey's Honey and Cavileer Boat Works. He was most recently employed by Kupp Builders. He was an active member of Jersey Shore Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and usher. Bruce loved to serve the Lord and shred Christ with many.Bruce was a commercial Beekeeper and enjoyed selling his honey, showing his bees and wearing a "bee beard" at many craft fairs. He also enjoyed hunting and camping, enjoying the outdoors.Bruce will be greatly missed but we are only waiting for the day when we will see him again.A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 10a.m. at the Beacon Evangelical Free Church, 420 South Sixth Avenue, Galloway Twp. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday evening from 7p.m. until 9p.m. at the Church, and again Thursday morning at 9:00a.m. Burial will be at Germania Cemetery, Galloway Twp.
