This workshop is the last of 2 sessions offered at the Carver School Site as part of the grant they received from the Massachusetts Department of Education for enhancing their writing curriculum by adopting our See it, Say it, Write it model  http://finance1.doe.mass.edu/Grants/grants01/awards/612.html .  We will be introducing scanning using HP5200C Series.  Teachers will learn to scan 6 pictures from their favorite story book and place them on  6 card templates. Several types of writing templates will be distributed which are designed to help their students look at each picture as they write about the corresponding event.

Participants will:

Learn to scan pictures to Adobe PhotoDeluxe.
Apply a variety of picture modifications (e.g. size change, cropping, orientation, copying, saving).
Copy pictures to 6 or 9 card templates.
Print on card stock to color printers.
Learn to use several writing templates.
Review additional adaptive software recommended for pre readers and/or children with special needs.
