Cute Little Pom Pom Instructions:

Cut out 2 circles, 2 inches in across, with a 1/2 inch hole in the center (donut style),
Out of an empty cereal box. (Yes, it has to be a cereal box)
Thread a nice long piece of yarn onto a needle, doubled.
"Sew" through the middle of the donut and around, and around and around.
Make it nice and even.
When the center is full and the cardboard is all covered up you can stop.
With a pair of scissors, reach in between the cardboard pieces and cut around the outside
With a piece of yarn, (or string if your yarn is soft), tie around the center
       Between the donuts, real tight!
(I don't know about you, but all this talk of donuts is making me hungry)
Slide off the rings, and shake the daylights out of the pom pom to fluff it out.
Trim it up a little
Sew it onto the hat with the tail

Matching Baby Blanket with Crocheted Blanket Stitch Hem
Cotton Flannel Fabric 45" long and 45" wide
(I know most recieving blankets are 30 x 36, but trust me)
3 Ply Baby Type Yarn
Metal Crochet Hook Size 3

Machine Stitch 1/4" rolled hem on all sides
(with a hem foot, or turn it, stitch, turn it again, stitch again)
With the crochet hook poke through the right side of the fabric below the hem and
catch the yarn, and pull it through
Catch the yarn from the skeen and pull through the loop, you now have a stitch around the hem.
Keep it loose, don't squash the hem.
Single crochet 5
(Catch the yarn, pull it through the loop, sliding the old loop off, couldn't be easier.. 5 times)
Go back through the fabric again about 3/8ths inch or so from the first stitch
Continue evenly around
