The Complete Design Process

The design process begins with one-on-one conversations between

you and the designer, Gail Fanning. Together we will determine how

you want to use your outdoor space, who will use it, and what

style of garden you desire. With this basic information to guide me,

I will develop two preliminary design plans for your consideration.

At our second meeting I will show you color drawings of your yard

as it might look with the new designs in place, and pictures of all

the plants which may be included in your garden.

Consulting together, we will come to an agreement on all the plants

and hardscapes (paths, patios, decks, etc) to be used in your garden.

I will then draw up your final plan with all the details necessary for successful

installation of your garden: plant lists, hardscape details, irrigation,

grading, and lighting plans are all included!

A complete design for the average back yard requires about 30 hours of work,

and generally is completed in 6-8 weeks.
