Sigh. I won't even make any comments about how late this update is. All I can say is that I'm sorry, I had a very busy life. I am in the transitory zone between college and real life. It will take some time before everything goes back into a routine. Till then, updates will unfortunately continue being sporadic.
On another note, I changed the colors of the site! hehe. Red and black were starting to annoy me. Life's good, despite momentary bad moments, so optimism (and better colors) and good too, no? Tell me what you think! (Ok, ok, so maybe I should have kept updating the stories instead of overhauling the colors. But I just needed a change). As for the story, I think I will have to re-read the entire thing that I have uploaded up to now, otherwise, the next few chapters will feel like random pieces glued together. Well, despite that, I'll post one today anyway. Ha.

*Ogles at the previous update date* Well, that had to be remedied. At last. I can't believe it has been so long. That should tell you that I'm "slightly" busy at the moment. (The "slightly" being disproportionately large). On another note, I just added a new tagboard to this site. Hopefully it will work *cross fingers*. And hopefully people will leave a few messages as it's a bit empty right now. All right, I'm off to post the next chapter before the power goes out again. Happy summer to all of you =)

Ah, I am finally done with my examinations for entrance into medical school. Pfffew... that's load off =) And today is a day to celebrate! Exactly 8 years ago, I have moved to the USA =) So I posted another chapter, well... I will do that as soon as I finish with this rant, hehe. So I'm not even exactly sure the point at which I ended up this story last time. oh oh =)
I went back to check on the whereabouts of this story, and *snickers* poor Nat. He has one huge surprise, or rather event coming up. I know it's not the season but... it's Halloween for him. And he is to discover what he will have to dress up as. I am evil to him, my poor little Nat, but that's because I love him! So, without further ado, enjoy Halloween part I =)

Hallo again! I'm glad you're sticking with this story! New chapter. Nothing else to add, as everything else is the same old, same old. I hope you do enjoy reading this ^___^ I will try to draw the next illustration (sorry, sorry, I do realize there are VERY few of those around...). One slight revision of the sight: the font became a tad lighter in color, which I hope will be easier on the eyes (didn't I already make such an adjustment a while back? mmm... I think I am switching from working at night, to doing it early on bright, sunny, sundays morning =)

It has been one year since this web site has officially opened up... (well, one year and a week =) and I can't believe it's still up! It is rather slow at the moment. And I still have the same excuse as always. MCATS + school. I took an 8 hour practice exam last weekend, and then slept the rest of the day (that should tell you the state of my mind at the moment. BUT, since it is an anniversary of sorts, and I haven't drawn any extra illustrations, I will instead post two chapters to make up for it. (Yes, yes, I did that for New Years... but there's no reason not to do it again!) Enjoy =)

Happy New Year everyone. To start 2005 on a better foot, I'll update two chapters today. However, on another note, I'll have to tell you that this site will not be update any more frequently than it usually is (meaning once every month or two). The reasons: same as always. School, helping my parents move to a new house, MCATs, applying to med school... aii... please don't remind me about that. But enough about all those depressing thoughts. I hope that '05 will find you healthy, happy and loved =)

I'm horrified. Absolutely horrified and feeling oh so very guilty about having left this site alone for so long. School has just been... a problem. Well, not exactly a problem, but a huge amount of work. And I do mean a HUGE huge amount of work. Plus MCAT classes and papers and...I think you know what I mean. So today, I randomly went back to check on this site, ...and realized I had not updated for almost 2 months o////o. I'm awfully sorry. So I have decided to post the next part up, to take a break from writing my bio paper. So next UPDATE is up! =)
Another useless little comment: you can access this site by typing "dark winds" on yahoo search engine!! And it comes up second!! *is absolutely awed by that* I remember trying to find this site that way at the beginning when it was first created. Nope, didn't work. And now, it even works on google!! *giggles* Don't know why though. But it still makes me immeasurably happy. (By the way, all the other "dark winds" sites are for a book. Didn't know there was a book... *???* Oh well. Enough of the babble. Enjoy the new chapter! =)

Wow, I can't believe I have been so lazy. My sincere apologies. I did have a lot of work. Exams are back, with one or two every week... or two... In addition to that, I'm just very tired mentally. The weather is not helping. But the updates will continue (although they will be rather far apart). Today: new chapter up... yes, the plot (or whatever there is of it) is dragging. It will pick up soon though, and yes, there will be more about Nat's "special condition". And that's it for now.

Mmmm, I was away for a long time. Please forgive me. I'm bringing back a whole new chapter though =) and that's about it for now. Classes start up again next Monday (yes, Labor day, of all times *sigh*) so updates might be random and far apart, but was there a time where they were not?

Most probably final update before I go on vacations. (I'm leaving in 2 weeks, and won't be back until the end of August). But, then perhaps I'll actually get my butt up and actually post yet another chapter (or perhaps a picture or... well, I don't know).
So if I don't make an appearance before then, have a wonderful end of summer =P

Updated the next chapter of the story. Also added text to the two illustrations for the first chapter of the story. And that's it.

Update. Chapter 6th: Nathaniel finally discovers that all important fact about himself. He isn't a normal college student. (I'm not talking about anything mental or psychological. he's just... well, read and see! =)
I have drawn the next page of illustrations (when Nat falls off the tree *grins*) but I have to scan it in first. -And yeah, I think I should add some text to illustration #1, eh?-
Any comments are welcome. As is any kind of advice, story or website related. Yes, much appreciated. I'll be going on vacations at the end of July, so I'll try posting once or twice before then, and since I'm only going for a month, there'll be another post as soon as I get back, okay?

Short update: new pictures: Aquariel, a young Nataniel (both in "pictures"), the first illustration of the beginning of chapter 1 (in "stories"), me (in "me"), and... that's about it =) Enjoy.

Well, there went my promise to update more often. Sorry =) But on a brighter note, I am now on vacations!! Yay!! Well, okay, so I work all day, but at least I don't have any homework to do once I do get home! That should free up some time to write, ne? *grins* oO (Hopefully. Crossing my fingers!) Okay, so here is yet another update (don't remember what happens here, since I'll do that once I'm finished with this rant. *goes off to make the new chapter page* aha! I remember now! Dialogue, Ariel, and Nataniel. Poor guy doesn't feel that well *wonder why. *smirk**
Also, I drew a quick sketch of Ariel today. (Took me 5 minutes, so that should tell you that it's a really bad one =) I didn't really know what he looked like until now. Never really thought about it, actually. oO(Trying to think about how I described him in the story...don't remember...hope it matches at least somehow *sheepish grin*). To add to that, I'll also make a page about "moi" =) either today, or perhaps in a few days. Nothing fancy. I just have a quirky drawing I want to post =)
And, I got the weird idea of drawing this story as well! Crazy me. I already don't have enough time as it is, so that project will be put on the back burner, but I did the first page =) -> view of the mountains, the rain, the tree and Nat. Not that interesting yet, and it will probably take me ages to get to a good part since I'm new at this illustrating thing. But I have all the time in the world! (That picture will be up tomorrow, in the "story" page. scanner not available tonight).
Mmmm... perhaps I should add some link to some other wonderful sites, eh? Later. Later.
Ah, yes, I almost forgot. Would the person that's leaving me their advertisement on my guestbook please stop doing that? Nobody ever looks at that stuff but me anyway, so it's not getting you any advertisement. One is enough I think. Merci!

Less than three weeks! See, I told you it wouldn't be a month! But, yes, call it laziness, as it is nothing else. I find time for everything else except this. Not really much to say on this rant. Don't even know when in the story I am now. (Will update in a few minutes). Bye Bye... =)

Oooh... 1 month. Sorry *sheepish grin* New chapter is up (#3) with lots of dialogue, and strange, out of the blue comments. The next one will be humorous (or I think it's the next one.... I can't quite remember at the moment =)
Yes, yes, lots of exams and papers, and everything else in a student's daily life. The updates will be coming, hopefully faster than the last one. And yes, I'm still drawing (the full length pictures of Nat and Kito are done. Just have to take the lines out with photoshop since they were drawn on my notebook (at a time I should have been doing something else *grins*). So just come back from time to time, and leave me a quick note on the way! *waves and logs out*

I changed Nataniel's pic, because he does have dark hair. (Make that black with blue highlights in the right light, to be more poetic, eh? =). However, I'm unable to color any of the picture, because photoshop refuses to change them from grayscale to color. Grrrr...
Also, I probably won't change that first chapter after all. (The reasons are many. ... the biggest one because I don't really know how to change it, and because I don't really have the time).
Talking about stories, though, the next chapter is up! =) And more are written, waiting for revision/editing/proofreading... There's actual dialogue now, and you get to meet a new character.
Now for a real rant: this night, at three in the morning, I was attacked by a flower pot. It fell from the shelf above my bed right onto me. I have no clue as to why it decided to move, but it woke me up and scare the hell out of me. Then I had to change the sheets because there was earth everywhere, and since I was still half asleep, it took quite a while. Blah. and the poor plant is still alive after its nosedive. *Huh*

Yes! Finally! The pictures are working!! *I'm so proud of myself* =)
So, yeah *cough cough* you can now admire my artwork. Comments would me much appreciated. Longer (ie: full length) pics will be forthcoming. So will a revised copy of the first chapter, as stated in the previous rant, as well as a second chapter. Hopefully =) Until then, please leave me a message/comment/criticism/advice... anything! =)

Oh no! The picture isn't working! I'll have to see what the problem is =( And I made a sketch of the other main character (actually THE main one, since he's the narrator *grins*) So if I manage to fix the picture problem, you'll get to see him =)
On another note, I think I'll rewrite the first chapter. I don't like it that much. It states too many things in too short a time. *sigh*

The counter is up! Ha! I'm so happy. And it has a grand total of.... 2! lol. The first one being me =) The page does look shabby, and somewhat monochromatic. This will have to be taken care of. soon. I'll try to get that picture up (and draw other ones...probably in class. Aiii!!! Don't follow my example. It's bad. *sigh*) and attempt to make a guestbook. Oh, and is this page readable -meaning: is it too hard on the eyes, should I make more contrast between the background and the text?
10 minutes later: disregard the part about the guestbook. It now has the preeminent place.... at the bottom =)
A few hours later: I got bored again. It's Friday. what do you expect? *grins* So there is one brand new picture up (it was on lined school paper though, so I had to tweak it a bit (yes, yes, everyone knows that science lectures can become slightly boring =)), as well as a list of the cast, with brief descriptions of the main characters. I hope it'll give you more insight on the story to come! =) Enjoy!
