Brandie highly recommends Girl Genius to anyone who enjoys mad scientists, crazy inventions, painfully funny jokes and plots about what IT life could be like if our managers would let us wear clockwork jewelry and funny hats.
Those who get the joke in the above picture earns an official "Marvel No-Prize", but you'll have to write Stan Lee to pick it up. @=)
Brandie finished her first story when she was 10 and hasn't stopped writing since. She finished her first full novel when she was 14, a teen mystery in the style of Trixie Beldan / Nancy Drew.
For paying gigs, she has alternately been a newspaper girl, a fast food cashier, a library aide and filled a number of retail / customer service jobs over the years. Brandie has a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts and is one class shy of a Bachelor's in History.
She has appeared in over 20 stage productions and worked at least once in every possible backstage theatre position over the years. She has appeared in industrial films, local commericials and print ads (and actually gotten paid for it, which makes her a professional actor / model!). Currently she works a day job as a SQL Server database administrator.
