I worked at writing every day for two decades, but I didn’t care about publishing, so I guess you could say I was a closet writer. Then, for about ten years, I submitted and published pretty regularly, won a few awards, completed a novel and found a fine literary agent to represent my work. Now, I’ll send out a story once in a while, but otherwise, to quote Groucho Marx, I’m pretty much “back in the closet where men are empty overcoats.”
