Rd1 #31 Mike Patterson - DT - USC
This is the 2nd best DT that I had in my positional rankings. Travis Johnson was ranked 1st and was picked 16th by Houston. My only concern is that he may not be the answer to the Eagles difficulty in stopping the run. With both Corey Simon and Hollis Thomas being unhappy, Patterson is at minimum a Simon replacement.

Rd2 #35 Reggie Brown - WR - Georgia
Brown was the best WR available. He meets a glaring need. I have been impressed with his route running and playing speed. It will take awhile to become acclimated to the Eagles WCO but he is an excellent choice.

Rd 2 #63 Matt McCoy - LB - San Diego St
McCoy has become a scout's darling and has received a lot of attention recently. It may be that Matt is a value pick in the 4th but not in the 2nd. This is a real reach for another undersized OLB. I was not even impressed by his highlight film.

Rd 3 #77 Ryan Moats - RB - Louisiana Tech
A very good RB. He is not the change of pace RB that was expected. He is more of a Westbrook type runner - fast and shifty. There were a couple of other RBs that the Eagles bypassed for Moats who were similar in value. It ended being a good move by the Eagles waiting for the 3rd to pick an RB. It seems that after the top 3 RBs that teams were deferring their RB pick knowing that there was good RB depth available.
