Draft Prospects Visiting Eagles 01/25/05

It was no secret what the Eagles and Patriots needed to do to win their respective Conferences.  The Eagles needed to stop the Atlanta running game (including Vick). The Patriots needed to stop Staley and the Bus.  Both teams were successful because they accomplished what they needed to accomplish.

Likewise, Super Bowl XXXIX offers few surprises.  For the Eagles to beat the Patriots, the Eagles need to shutdown Corey Dillon and make Brady beat their All-Pro Secondary down the field.  Similarly, the Patriots need to stop Westbrook and make McNabb beat them with the Eagles depleted Wide Receiver core.

The bottom-line is that Super Bowl XXXIX will be won or lost at the Line of Scrimmage.  With three Eagles on the Offensive Line that were at one time or another All-Pros and a healthy, rejuvenated Defense, the Eagles chances are better than good.
