5 Start up the data base so
you are looking at the main browse layout screen.
You can go to the
Scripts menu at the top of the screen and
choose Toggle Status Area. This is just a short
script to display the status area. You will see the gray
status area appear on the left side of the
screen. Go to the View Menu
at the top of the screen and and choose layout
mode. Go to the left at the top
of the status area to the right of the word Main and
hold your mouse button down. When the layout menu appears,
slide down to the Packing Slip choice. Leave the
blue
button "Back to
browse Mode" alone. It doesn't print with the packing
slip and is strictly navigational. The gray boxed in area
shows tools such as the selection tool, text tool, button
tool, portal tool and others. You can use these Tools to
edit any part of the packing slip. The Captial A
inside the box is the text tool. Just use the
text tool( for now) to edit the packing slip. If you are
unfamiliar with the use of other tools, I recommend you
learn about them BEFORE you use them. You will
probably want to edit the text near the bottom of the
packing slip to your name and address. When you are done editing,
go to the View Menu at the top of the screen
and and choose Browse mode. You can "click" in the
upper left active window box to close the entire
database. Then start the database from the original file and
take a look at your finished packing slip.
