Peabody arrived home at 9:00pm after a morning flight from Anchorage, Alaska. She was quite tuckered by all of the day's excitement, and a little scared at being away from her mom and littermates. Nonetheless, she played and cuddled a lot that evening. Once we put her in her crate for bedtime, the crying began. This puppy was none too happy to be in a crate in a stranger's house a thousand miles from home. We held fast, though - she didn't make it into our bed at all despite her very persistent whining. Eventually she went to sleep in her crate and we all got some needed rest.
