About Wildwood Lane

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Harley is out playing, as only a Cocker Spaniel can. Kim and Rhonda are busy keeping Harley in fine form, as well as tending their garden.

Mary has a lovely woodland garden in her front yard and a classic English cottage plot in the back.

Ned was surreptitiously elected honorary chair of the recently revived Wildwood Lane Garden Club.

Wildwood Lane is shaded by many lovely old maple trees. Originally, Wildwood Lane led from Rainier Avenue all the way to the shores of Lake Washington. Built of brick, the lane provided access for city folk who visited the private amusement park. The brick was supplied by a local brick maker, who having made enough bricks, built his mansion on the Lake. Since he wanted a nice, safe path to walk home on, he donated all the bricks. Do we know his name? Not yet, but we're working on the historic research and hope to replace the above picture with an old assessor's picture from the county.
