Welcome
This is my personal homepage and it contains items of special interest to me. Much of it is on-going experiences with my hobbies of Astronomy and Computers, but there's some opinions and comments as well.

Astronomy
These pages have info on my telescopes, a description of first-time astrophotography, and a few pictures.

The Sombrero Galaxy as imaged by the Spitzer Space Telescope.

WEB Stuff
One service provided by the Internet is what you are looking at now : the World Wide Web. These pages offer info and opinion on HTTP, HTML, and other Web topics.

Rockets
These pages have info on my rockets, their flight logs, and some model rocket construction tips.

Geology
Come on a virtual field trip with my class and I as we explore Colorado Volcanic Landforms.

Quotations
Some apropos quotes by the Founding Fathers, and a few others, for today's world.

The All Seeing I
Revealing the hidden Truths in life.

Note: Does not work with Internet Explorer.

About me
Let's see ... I'm 53, live in Denver, have one daughter, and recently made a career change into teaching.
I believe that :
the Canyonlands of Utah contain the most awe inspiring places on earth,
GNU/Linux is the operating system of choice,
   firearms are not evil,
   the WWW is de-volving,
   Lao Tsu was right,
dark energy is Einstein's missing cosmological constant,
the perfect cornbread requires three eggs, not two.

Note
This website is my real-life programming playground. Most of the pages make use of CSS formatting and will only display properly with the latest W3C CSS1/2 and HTML compliant browsers. This site was developed for and tested with browsers based upon the Gecko rendering engine. Internet Explorer 6 and earlier versions do NOT render these pages even close to the manner intended. IE7 tries hard, but there are still numerous errors.

See what you are misssing; get Firefox.
