What's this site about?
This site chronicles the conversion of a tired Mustang Fastback into a still
classic-looking car, with a modern drivetrain, modern brakes and superior performance.
Go to the Original page and view the starting point.
The main point of this site will be Modifications. I'll try to keep the normal restoration
items off of these pages (the rust section is an exception).
Do note that the Domain name of this site stays locked as you move around. Domain redirection does that.
If you bookmark a section though, the name will be correct for that section. You can view the location
at the bottom of each page.
Because I don't have enough contiguous space in one ISP 'name', I have to use other sites and redirect you
through the menus. Therefore it's safest just to bookmark the main page and go from there.
Status of the project
I'll let you know what sections to visit by laying out, in reverse chronological order, what's been
done of late. This way you won't have to dig around and check the various sections.
Because I do have another life outside of Mustangs (which includes a major house remodel)
don't always count on continous updates. It's not always possible to update the web-site in a timely
manner.
- After getting some emails and then discussing some issues on StangNet, this finally
prodded me to do a complete update of the Rotisserie page. (11/30/03)
- A The Roller section was added in February of 2003.
- A Rotisserie section was added (12/7/02) on how to build your
own Mustang Rotisserie.
- The body shell section has been updated (10-17-02)
- The rear rust section has been updated (10-27-02)
to show the tailight panel installation.
In case you're wondering, I had the Shelby on the rotisserie to finish off the underside. That took about
3 months. A shoulder injury had me out for many months as I regained my strength. It's surprising anything
is going right!
So what is a restomod anyway?
A restomod is a restored/modified car. It can be any make but is most closely
identified with Mustangs.
A restomod leaves alone the classic lines of the original, but allows some tasteful
alterations -- like adding a Shelby hood, for instance.
The line is getting more blurred on when a car becomes a Hot Rod and not just a
restomod. I will blur that line a bit, but will try to keep the spirit of the original
intact, while adding creature comforts and performance.

Navigation
Use the menu on the left and click on a category of interest.
Once on the new page the menu will expand to show other choices.
The site map can also prove useful.
Remember to think of the various sections of the car and what sub-sections there
might be in there. For instance, body will include doors, hood and the unibody.
