The most prominent whisleblower ever, of course, is Ronald Reagan.

Reagan, indirectly, told the Iranians who masterminded killing between 150,000 to 3/4 million of their kids.

While it is now poised to go to war to oust Saddam Hussein, Washington developed an alliance with the Iraqi leader in the 1980's to prevent an Iranian victory in the Iran-Iraq war. ...

In the federal government you really can't do anything important without getting approval from someone above.

Iran and Iraq probably finally figured out that Bush1 was maximizing the slaughter of kids by keeping the two countries about equal militarily. And destabilizing both countries.

Let's think positive.

How can we arrange to send those who masterminded the killing of the Iran kids to the Evin Prison in Teheran for question and answer time? This may be a bit vindictive.

Heads of both the National Security Agency and the CIA had to be involved.

From 1976-1977 Bush served as Director of the CIA. In 1979 he began an unsuccessful campaign for the Republican nomination for President. He lost out to Reagan. From 1981-1989 he served as Vice President. Bush played an active role as Vice President.

What information was provided to Saddam Hussein exactly? Answers to this question are currently being sought in a lawsuit against NSA in New Mexico, which has asked to see "all Iranian messages and translations between January 1, 1980 and June 10, 1996". [7]

Keep in mind that we are dealing with incompetent killers of Iran kids. So we should expect even more incompetent behaviors.

In a nutshell here's what happened.

To retaliate for the Iranian students taking hostages, some in the US government either paid or incited Saddam Hussein to attack Iran.
Some payment was that Iraq could claim Kuwait.

US spokeswoman April Glaspie 2 3 announced this to the world.
To justify bombing Libya president Ronald Reagan announced on TV that the US had incontrovertible proof that Libya was responsible for bombing the La Belle discotheque. The US was reading Libyan secret communications.
National Secutiry Agency employee Tom White told Payne that NSA regarded Reagan as the greatest traitor in the US. This required a bit of investigation!
Hans Buehler was arrested in Teheran for espionage.

Some in the US government rethought the Saddam Hussein deal when Kuwait was invaded. This led to Desert Storm.
George Herbert Walker Bush decided to halt military action again Saddam. Hmm.
Now W wants to kill Saddam.
We are dealing with some very dangerous and psychotic individuals.

But you need SCI access to discover this. Payne had SCI access and the psychotics couldn't keep their mouths shut!
