The city of the month is Paris! The city proper is home to 2 million residents, and the metropolitan area is home to 12 million residents. The city is a major business center worldwide, economic, political, and cultural capital of France. The city is famed around the world for its culture, history, and the Eiffel Tower. The city's gross domestic product (size of economy) is fifth in the world, behing Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The city's economy is about the size of Pakistan's entire economy, a country of 120 million people. The picture behind my name is of Paris' Central Business District, La Defense.
About Me
Bryan Redmond is one of the 6.7 billion people on this planet. He happens to live near Philadelphia, in the suburbs. He hates the suburbs, and would like to move to Malmo, Sweden. Or Paris, Frankfurt, Bergen, Cologne, Singapore, Auckland, Melbourne, or maybe Hong Kong. Bryan Redmond is in High School, and is generally regarded as being highly intelligent by his peers. (a la "Nerd", "Geek") He is interested in Cities, Geography, Economics, Politics, Photography, and many other things. He is in his High School's Science league, and his Knowledge Bowl/Quiz bowl. He scores very high in the Science League for Earth Science, though he is in Honors biology. Bryan Redmond hates biology; not the teacher, but the subject in general. The teacher is not bad. Bryan Redmond has also went to his middle school's Geography bee both of the opportunities he got. He tied for third the first time, but he won the second time. He then took a test to go to the state bee, and qualified. He then drove all the way up to Vernon, New Jersey to compete. He came in 23rd place. Bryan Redmond has also seen his fair share of travel. He has visited 22 states, and will hopefully soon visit California. He has visited the U. S. , Canada, and Norway. He loved Norway. In Norway, he went to Oslo, Lillehammer, Trondheim, Flam, and Bergen. In Canada he visited Moncton, St. John (s?), and Vancouver. Vancouver was quite nice when he visited. See this map I made:
