Overture  

Bembero for four-channel audio was presented at the University of Central Missouri New Music Festival 2009 on March 3.

 

Zlatko Cosic and I performed Visual Music Improv for the first time in conjuntion with Mr. Cosic's exhibit of his video works at the University of Central Missouri School of Art and Design. Our performance was on Febrary 5, 2009, to a very large and receptive audience.

 

Video artist Zlatko Cosic created a reinterpretation of my work Montage, titled SPACES, which will be presented at Webster University, December 17, 2008, 1 pm (Sverdrup Bldg. Rm.123).

Brad Decker’s music has been acknowledged and performed both nationally and worldwide. He was a selected finalist for the 2005 ASCAP/SEAMUS Student Composer Competition, the Bourges 31e Concours International de Musique et d’Art Sonore Electroacoustiques, the IV Edition Pierre Schaeffer International Competition of Computer Music, and the 2004 Concurso Internacional de Música Eletroacústica de São Paulo. His music has received performances at numerous American festivals, including Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States, Society of Composers, Inc., Electronic Music Midwest, Southeastern Composers’ League, International Computer Music Conference, Oakland Festival of Contemporary Music, Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Art (Minneapolis), New Music Café (Illinois Wesleyan University) and the Northwestern Electro-Acoustic Music Organization. Dr. Decker received his DMA in music composition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
