Brad's Disclaimer: 19 SEP 08

Since 1992, I've written over 770,000 words of fiction.  In that time I have had two significant publications, neither of them professional.  I've almost quit several times, on account of RSSD (Rejection Slip Stress Disorder) and PCGD (Peer Critique Group Dysfunction.)  Yet I persist, if only because the last 15 years of marriage, and the last six years in the military, have taught me a few things about the value of refusing to fail.  So while I will never pretend to have the Golden Answer about being a professional author, I do think I know a thing or two about overcoming obstacles.

Everything (and I mean everything!) contained on this site, is advice or wisdom distilled from the professionals.  Including Dean Wesley Smith, Alan Cole, Damon Knight, Stephen King, J.A. Konrath, Orson Scott Card, and many others.  Where possible, I have linked directly to the horse's mouth.  You will never get better advice, than that which comes from the people who are already working professionals in the field.

So don't just take my word on anything.  Take theirs.
