About the Bremerton Tavern League
The Bremerton Tavern League is a five person men’s league. Women can bowl by purchasing a Men’s USBC card. Teams do not have to be sponsored by a licensed beverage establishment. During the 2008-2009 season, league members pay $15 each week to bowl. A link thru the “Projected League Payoffs” at the left provides a complete financial report showing all income and payouts. The report will be updated periodically during the season. For the 2008-2009 season the estimated point money per win is $12.77. The average team should win $812. The league also pays for 22 team events to the County tournament and $500 in jackpot for high scores bowled on the last night of bowling. The Bremerton Tavern league considers it to be “fun league” rather than a “money league” because it pays no money for winning the league or for team or individual scores bowled during the season. Last season Miller Brewing via Jennings Corporation paid $500 into the league prize fund and we expect it again this season. League members receive discounted Miller and Coors Lite beer pricing ($2.25 pounders and $6.25 pitchers) during league. The Tavern League had 10 teams when it left Bay Bowl after the 2003-4 season. Since moving to Bremerton Lanes it has grown significantly. Season No of teams 2004-2005 = 14 2005-2006 = 16 2006-2007 = 18 2007-2008 = 21 2008-2009 = 22
