About the
Bremerton Tavern League

The Bremerton Tavern League is a sanctioned five person Men’s
USBC BA League. Teams may carry up to 10 bowlers on their roster.
Women may bowl in the league by purchasing a USBC BA Membership.

League fees for the 2009-2010 session remain $15 each week.
Bremerton Lanes charges us linage fees of $10 per person per week.
Secretary fee is $.45/week. This leaves a prize fund contribution of $4.55/week.
Our Projected league payouts are updated periodically and are available
through the link. Jennings Corporation (Miller Brewing) and Bremerton Lanes
are contributing a total of $1,000 to our prize fund this year.

Because we pay no extra money for winning the league,
Team or individual high scores, or “Pin” money, we consider our
league a “FUN” league vs. a “MONEY” league.
We pay each team for the number of wins.
Last season the money per win was $12.75. The average team won $815.

A plaque is given to the winning teams sponsor and the winning team
gets its name place on a plaque displayed at Bremerton Lanes.
The last night of bowling, our “fun night”, the league provides $500 for
high scores bowled that night.
The league also annually pays for each team’s entry into Kitsap County Men’s
Association Tournament. Bremerton Lanes provides discounted bowling
for League members. From 9AM- 6PM $2.00/game and $2.00 shoe rentals.

Established by Bill Worcop and Dale Carter in the early 1950’s at Rialto Lanes,
a six lane house in downtown Bremerton, the Bremerton Tavern League is one
of the oldest leagues in Kitsap County. Since moving from Bay Bowl at the end
of the 2003-4 season, we have experienced a steady growth. From 14 teams
in 2004 to 25 teams this year. The Bremerton Tavern League also has a
“Spring” Trio League beginning in May and runs for 10 weeks.
During the 2009 season we hosted 16 teams.
