Verses Five Five (Introit)

The Score to Verses Five Five (Introit)
You belong to the day and the light
    Not to the dark and the night.
You cannot stand the sight of the proud;
    You hate all the wicked.
This hope does not disappoint,
    For God has poured out his love
    With the Holy Spirit,
    Who is God's gift to us.
We in spirit, by faith,
    Wait for the hope of justice.
Blessed are the meek!
    For they shall inherit the earth

Verses One One (Confession)

The Score to Verses One One (Confession)
Forasmuch as many have tried to tell the story
    of what God has done among us:
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
In many parts, and in many ways,
    God of old spoke to our fathers in the prophets:
Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked,
    nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence
The Word of Life existed from the beginning.
We have heard it. We have seen it. We have touched it.
Not of men, nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father,
    who raised him from the dead;
Truly I love you all, and not I alone,
    but also all who know this truth:
In the beginning was the Word,
    and the Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.

Verses Six Six (Offertory)

The Score to Verses Six Six (Offertory)
Godliness with contentment is great gain.
Knowing this, that our former person was crucified with him,
    that the body of sin may be made useless,
    so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; I desire knowledge of God more than holocausts.
By pureness, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
Share every good thing you have with anyone who teaches you what God has said.
And when you pray, go into your room, close the door,
    and pray to your Father who is in secret.
And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Verses Fifteen Fifteen (Sermon)

Then Peter said to him, "Explain to us this parable."
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
        “Remember that you were slaves
        and the LORD your God set you free;
        therefore I command you this thing to day.”
Henceforth, I call you not slaves,
    for the slave does not know what his lord does.
But I have called you friends,
    because all things which I heard
    from My Father have I made known to you.
This law shall never change both for you and for the strangers in the land:
I am the LORD, and I consider all people the same.
So the king's servants said to the king,
    “Behold, your servants are ready to do
     whatever my lord the king shall choose.”
And all rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart.
They took great pleasure in looking for the Lord,
    and he let them find him.
So the Lord surrounded them with peace.

God does not even trust his angels;
    the heavens are not pure in his sight.
So He went and joined Himself to the people of the country;
    and they sent him into the fields to feed swine.
All the days of the afflicted are evil,
    but he that is of a good conscience has a continual feast.
The priest shall offer one for sin, the other for a holocaust:
    and he shall pray before the Lord, that they may be cleansed.
And so Pilate, willing to content the people,
    released Barabbas unto them,
    and delivered Jesus,
    when he had scourged him,
    to be crucified.

Brethren, I have written to you,
     putting you in mind because of the grace given to me by God.
If it is true that the dead are not raised to life,
    then God did not raise Christ,
    and I am shown to be lying about God,
    for I said that he raised Christ from death.
As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace;
    you shall be buried at a good old age.

Verses Seven Seven (Benediction)

Not because of your greatness did the Lord set his love upon you,
    for you were the least of all.
And I am certainly not worthy to come to you.
Just say the word, and my servant will get well.
There is no doubt that the one who blesses
    is greater than the one who is blessed.
Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find;
    knock, and the door will be opened to you.
I will look to the LORD.
I will wait for God to save me.
I will wait for my God to listen to me.
Let a congregation of people gather around you.
Take your seat high above them,
Then will I cause you to dwell in this place,
    in the land that I gave to your fathers,
    for ever and ever.
