  2/04/06 Numbers of Note

Happy belated new year! Got another Polygone up. Only did 3 of those last year, but I'm hoping to do better this year (at least 4, maybe 5 if I'm feeling frisky). I also wanted to point out that I started using this page as a web-log nearly 4 years ago, well ahead of the current "blog" craze. What's going to be the next hot thing you ask? Well, don't tell anybody, but I've been keeping a close eyes on blueberry scones. I think they'll be big in 2006.

 10/11/04 Summer Landscaping

I spent the occasional odd weekend this summer helping my parents landscape the area around their new house. But the most impressive thing they've done I had nothing to do with. I was really impressed with the waterfall my dad put together. He actually layed all those stones himself. The plants are still pretty scrawny in this picture, but they should grow out a bit by next summer.

In other news, I went skydiving with my sister two Saturdays ago. It was a pretty bright day, but if I end up with a decent action picture, I might try posting it here.

 08/30/04 Incriminating Evidence

A link to my Ensenada photo album has been in polygone news as a distraction for a few weeks. Since it has absolutely nothing to do with polygone, I thought it prudent to move it here. I put it with the old stuff because I don't intend to update it anymore (unless new photos come to light that make me look good).

In other, totally unrelated, news, I'm going to be in Pennsylvania for three days this week. I don't know why anybody would care about this, but I want to make sure nobody freaks out if they unexpectedly see me in a state where I don't normally live.

03/23/04 We don't need no stinkin' updates

I've been quietly updating polygone for a few months now. But I made a few significant changes to the overall page design that I wanted to draw everyone's attention to. First, I replaced the slightly cheesy title graphic with a more classically cheesy image. Secondly, I switched the order of the episodes on the drop-down menu so the most recent is at the top (Addam has informed me that this is the "correct" way to do it, and I aim to please). I'll probaby be rewriting the text on the introduction page sometime soon, so you can be anxiously anticipating that.

 12/29/03 White Stuff

We unexpectedly got snow this morning. I didn't believe when I heard it on the radio, but when I looked outside, I saw this. Apparently the power is out around town, because work was canceled. Now I wish I hadn't bothered to go to bed early last night.

 11/27/03 Change for Change's Sake

I reworked the top graphic to make it more "3-d". I don't think it necessarily looks any better. I just felt like changing something so I went for an easy target. Also, I updated polygone last weekend and I'm hoping to update this weekend as well. Two weekends in a row might be a record or something.

 10/19/03 Update at Long Last

Yeah, I finally posted a new polygone. It looks like I might be home for a couple of weeks in a row, so I'll try to get a few more of these out. Interestingly, this is polygone #40. I'm trying to figure out if that's good.

 09/27/03 Futilitarian

The sites been a bit slow lately, so I thought I'd post what I'm working on when I'm not feeling inspired to do Polygone. Here's Page 0 and a Title Page from a comic I've been planning titled "Futilitarian". It's a rockin comedy about an old man living with his adopted grandsons, in the future. Yep, I can almost taste the hilarity...

In other news. My company is sending me back up to Seattle next week (that makes 4 out of 5 weeks spend out of state). So my usual disclaimer about no updates applies.

 07/11/03 Fan Art

I just updated the polygone fan-art page with some funny art from my good friend Nils. This doubles the amount of fan-art I've received, so I'm feeling pretty good right now.

That said, I'm going to be out of state for the next 3 weeks (my first business trip ever, woo-hoo), so I may be using that as an excuse not to update polygone. I appologize in advance.

05/20/03 Behold: the power of Guilt!

My friend Eric has started a new webcomic Stilllife. He's posted something like 5-6 updates since I last updated polygone. This naturally made me feel very lazy. This led to feelings of guilt for being so lazy. This guilt made me think about polygone a bit and I finally figured out how I wanted to do the next episode. Long story short (too late, I know). I've updated polygone mid-week. Take a gander.

 05/03/03 Minor Revisions

I've cleaned up the side links to properly acknowledge that polygone is the only part of this site I'm actively working on (and that only fitfully). On a positive note, I've added a place for fan-art on the polygone page.

In other news, I've officially succumbed to my ISP's name change, so tyrnup.com now points to "http://mywebpages.comcast.net/brian_lind/". My old site ("http://home.attbi.com/~brianlind/") will no longer be updated

 04/14/03 Moving
I moved into my new apartment this weekend. The move went well, but the new apartment is a mess, boxes everywhere. Alas, this means no polygone this week. Hopefully I'll be a bit more regular with updates once I'm settled in at the new place.
 03/19/03 Marketing Strategies?
You may have noticed polygone has been the same for the last few weeks. Obviously, I've done this because the public was demanding an encore presentation. It has nothing to do with me being lazy, honest. Um, I'll try to get something new up this weekend.
 02/24/03 Rocks are cool!
Sorry about the slow pace of polygone updates, things have been busy lately. For example, I went fossil hunting with my dad on Saturday. Here's something neat we found.
01/04/03 Happy New Polygone! (Oh, and year too)
I'm pretty pleased to have something to brag about in my first post of the new year. I just posted Episode 25 of polygone.

That's all I have to say, carry on.

12/24/02 'Twas the Night before Christmas
Sorry about the lack of a polygone update. Christmas seriously snuck up on me this year. But I figure you all have better things to do than visit my website. You do, don't you? Right?
12/8/02 A Completely Different Way of Doing the Exact Same Thing
New polygone up. I've been playing around with a demo of Photoshop, which I used to make this one (#23 for those of us keeping count). For those who haven't heard yet, Photoshop is awesome. However, it's also very expensive, so I expect I'll be going back to Fireworks once the demo expires.
 11/16/02 Minor Improvements Abound
I made a couple of small changes to the polygone page. Perhaps the biggest is the creation of a new comic page that would be useful to bookmark. I pretty much explained everything on the polygone page, so there's no use repeating myself. Oh yeah, and I added a counter at the bottom to confirm my suspicions that nobody ever visits this site.
11/02/02 Creating the future one day at a time (note, days are not necessarily consecutive).
I've put up another polygone or two since I last wrote something for the "news" page. I actually have a semi-coherent plot type thing going on. This should become more obvious as time goes on (unless I get bored and decided to scrap it). Other than that, enjoy the holiday season and try to avoid insanity.
9/29/02 By up-to-the-date I mean, sometime this year.
I've been working on polygone off and on, but I haven't really been posting much in the way of updates. Since I suspect most of my traffic comes through fancyunderpants.com, I've just been posting the occasional polygone update there. Oh yeah, and Addam finished The Broccolli Connection episode 2, so you should go look at that now.
 7/27/02 I'm not dead, honest!
Sorry about the long wait. The problem with starting a mini-story is that it looks really bad if you get busy just before the end. I have another plot in mind, but I'll try to do a couple individual episodes first.

Also, check out fancyunderpants.com. Addam has a trailer posted for a new animated series we're working on. (Well, he works and I, um... manage and stuff.)

 6/19/02 Stabbing at a story.
I've decided to sell out and try a storyline with conflict and resolution and stuff. This is supposed to happen right after the last episode I posted. It's borderline coherent.
6/14/02 But the randomness is what makes it endearing.
Some people rely on plot arcs and continuity to do this sort of thing, but I refuse to use such crutches! Here's another episode of polygone. You may notice that I'm linking to html pages now rather than straight to the image. I'm going legit like that.
6/9/02 And then there were seven
This polygone thing is really growing. This new episode is actually supposed to be 4th in the series. I posted it on the polygone site in the correct order.
6/7/02 A new page is born.
Hm, I actually did that polygone page thing I was talking about. I've placed it in the "current" link box. I also removed the diplomacy link since that page hasn't had hosting space for over a year (that's the problem with asp pages, they have "special needs").
6/1/02 I probably should organize these or something.
I was trying to do these things in some sort of a logical order, but that wasn't working so I made this instead. I'm toying with the idea of making a page dedicated to this project.
5/10/02 Rollin', rollin', rollin', keep those shapes a rollin'.
Yep, two in one week. I'm pretty surprised myself. Take a gander at my newest creation type thing.
5/8/02 The closest I've been to a roll since I left the bakery.
Sorry about the obscure newspost title. I'm tired and easily amused. I've got another polygone thing for folks to look at.
 4/27/02 Some people like beginnings
Here's a beginning to my current project. It might help my last post make more sense. Then again, it might not, so don't get your hopes up.
 4/15/02 I'm not lazy, honest!
Yeah, it's been quite a while. Here's a little something to show for my time: origami and notBritish.
