Advantage Aviation
Center for Professional Flight Training

Testimonials
"I had my license but had not flown in years. When I decided to
make a career change I needed a flight school that would help me achieve my
goals quickly without sacrificing my current job. I was able to achieve
this without the large initial cash outlay that other schools require. I just
returned from an interview with a regional air carrier and the reputation of
Advantage Aviation was a positive one." John V.,

Training with Brian and Advantage Aviation was a great experience. I learned
above all things how to fly an aircraft safely. Brian's
instruction ability is driven by his flight experience, not by the desire to
build hours and go to work for an airline. By starting out in Mooneys I was
challenged and pushed to become a better pilot. And because of the high level of
training that I received at Advantage I use my pilots license, flying
between 100 and 200 hours yearly. In other words I travel all over the U.S.
confident in my piloting skills and decision making abilities.
My wife and two young boys and I travel in our Mooney for vacations several
times a year. Because of the high level of training I received, flying has
opened a new world for me, my business and my family. Brian has also helped me
learn how to own my
Mooney and make ownership as cost effective as possible. Choosing the right CFI
is one of life's important decisions, choose a CFI that knows how
to make PILOTS!

Dear Advantage Aviation,
I would like you to know I recommend your
accelerated IFR training to everyone that has asked if I have received my IFR
rating. I have proudly pulled out my wallet and handed over my temporary
airman's certificate with my new instrument rating on it to anyone that has
asked. Not only are my inquisitive associates impressed with the rating;
they cannot believe I was able to earn my IFR rating in seven days, including
the check ride!
I had spent a month talking to FBO's and other
flight schools around the country offering IFR training and none were able to
put together a program that met all my criteria. Not that I felt the
other schools were bad but my time is extremely valuable. I also didn't
want to be with different or inexperienced instructors. I wanted a working
vacation that centered on me learning the skills to become a competent
IFR pilot and ending with my rating as well. Also, the aircraft available
to fly, while IFR certified, were not representative of the aircraft
which I wanted to operate in real IFR conditions, they were basic
trainers. To get my IFR rating and have a chance with the insurance
companies I knew I needed to get my rating in a fast, high performance, complex
aircraft.
Luckily, I found Advantage Aviation on the
internet, which was the perfect answer. The flat fee and guaranteed rating
meant I did not have to worry about building time for an instructor or flying
extra hours in an aircraft so payments could be made at the end of the
month. Advantage Aviation delivered absolutely everything promised from
the instructor, Brian Vogel, to the Mooney aircraft complete with a Garmin
430. Brian's 20 years of experience in Mooneys alone as well as his in
depth knowlege of the latest technologys and teaching methods were
invaluable. I still hear him in my head every time I shoot an
approach. Brian's ability to recognize my deficiencies and then adjusting
his teaching techniques and applying the right combination of simulator and
actulal flight time ensured I would get it right. Additionally, Brian's
understanding of ATC and the FAA explained in ways I could understand truly
earns him a PHD in aviation.
Finally Advantage Aviation's location should be
the envy of every flight school. Jeffco Airport and the surrounding areas
offer almost every possible situation you may encounter as a pilot flying IFR.
The non-precision approaches, precision approaches and radar surveillance
approaches all within a short flying distance eliminated the need to only
'simulate' portions of my training. Operations in Class B, C or D;
airspace
and untowered fields all within the training environment made my actual flight
time very productive. After I pased my check ride I felt I could fly into
any airspace and not have ATC request I "call the tower" or worse.
The choice of excellent facilities near the
airport to stay at made this all possible in an enjoyable environment.
Truly a satisfying learning vacation that I recommend.
Thank you again for a great experience.
Sincerely,
Tim Gieschen
