Council Information

The Palos Council is located 1/2 mile south of Bristol Eastern High School on King St. in the city of Bristol, CT. The Grand Knight for 2008 - 2009 is James Swicklas. You can contact the Knights by phone at 860-589-1379.

Council Meetings

Our Council meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30, preceded by our Association meeting ay 7:00. Our 4th Degree meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:15. All meetings are at the K of C hall, 360 King St., Bristol, CT

About our Council

Palos Council was founded in 1886 through the efforts of Thomas H. Brown. It has the name PALOS, which is the name of the seaport Columbus sailed. The PALOS Council works closely with all six of the Parishes in Bristol, providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in their own parish. Our first Grand Knight was Thomas H. Brown. His Deputy Grand Knight was James Kane. The Rev. Michael B. Roddan was our first chaplain. Brother Knights Brown and Kane were among the original twenty-five charter members.
