About the Editor

The Editor is a long-term resident of Oak Ridge who owns five acres of the Lower East Fork Poplar Creek mercury-contaminated floodplain. He retired from LMES in 1985 and operated his own very small business. He now spends full-time attending public meetings concerned with nuclear waste disposal trying to ensure that the allocation of funds and other decisions are based on the best science and risk assessment available. He operates several private web pages devoted to this objective.

In the past, he has been involved in other similar efforts. He is considered a community activist, prolific letter writer, advocate of public participation as well as both friend and critic of DOE.
