Registration fee: $25To request a trial version, send email to bruce.foster@comcast.net. DescriptionImpGraph is a shareware plugin for FrameMaker that lets you specify the default settings for the anchored frame created when you import a graphic and for the scale and runaround settings for an imported graphic. ImpGraph also includes a Graphics > Shrinkwrap command that is an enhanced version of the native FrameMaker Esc m p command. For the anchored frame, all settings allowed in the Anchored Frame dialog are supported. In addition, you can choose between two ways to size the frame: setting the width and height dimensions or shrinkwrapping the frame to fit the imported graphic. The ImpGraph enhanced Shrinkwrap command lets you specify the margin between the graphic and frame, leaves the anchor position for the parent frame unchanged, and can shrinkwrap multiple graphic objects in a single frame. With an insertion point active in a text frame, each time you import a graphic using the File > Import > File, File > Import > Object, Edit > Paste, or Edit > Paste Special commands, FrameMaker automatically creates an anchored frame for the graphic and imports the graphic. Following the import operation, ImpGraph immediately adjusts the settings of the frame and the imported graphic to the defaults you have specified. Your defaults remain in effect until you change them. Defaults are preserved in an ImpGraph.ini file between FrameMaker sessions. Note: If you create an anchored frame and import a graphic into the frame in separate steps, ImpGraph does NOT adjust the frame. ImpGraph adjusts only frames that are created automatically when you import a graphic without first creating a frame. UsageTo specify import graphic preferences: 1. In the document window, choose the Special > Import Graphic Preferences command. 2. In the Anchored Frame Properties dialog, specify the settings for the frame. 3. To display the Graphic Properties dialog, click Graphic Properties. 4. I the Graphic Properties dialog, set the properties for imported graphics and click OK. 5. Click OK to close the Anchored Frame Properties dialog. 6. Import graphics as usual using the menus File > Import File, File > Import > Object, Edit > Paste, or Edit > Paste Special, or the corresponding keyboard shortcuts. To shrinkwrap a graphic: 1. In the document window, select a graphic object contained in an anchored or unanchored frame or the frame itself. 2. Choose the Graphics > Shrinkwrap menu command or the keyboard shortcut Esc m p. Note: shrinkwrap uses the margin setting from the Anchored Frame Properties dialog. Installation1. Copy both files, the .txt and .dll, to your maker\fminit\plugins directory. 2. When you restart FrameMaker, the new menu command will be available. CompatibilityImpGraph works with FrameMaker 7.0 through 9.0 on Windows.
