How To Make Your Own DVD Labels

For the folks who want a plain set, here is what I used to make the labels.

First of all, I used Mediaface II software to design most of the labels.  Version II of the software can be found under the download section on their web site (free): http://www.mediaface.com/ .  The product key for Version II is located in the FAQ section for Version II at the top of the download page.  I think the product key was also included in the full download.  Its about 30 Mb.  For Version II of the software, you will also need to download the DVD wrap templates. This is also under the FAQ at the top of the page.  These templates work with the full [standard] size DVD cases similar to what you see for a commercial DVD movie.

Mediaface Version 4 is also available for purchase (I own this but did not like it).  Version 4 also has a conversion from Version II files to Version 4 files if that is what you want to use. The Version II files I am using are not compatible with Version 4 without using the conversion process!

The slim line DVD wraps [I am currently using slim line cases for the full version] were created using Microsoft Publisher, since the Mediaface software does not have a slim line case template available.  These can also be created in other software (such as Microsoft Word) that allows you to set the size of your design.

You will need to buy the correct labels to match the templates.  Look for Fellows products in the Yellow box.  The full size DVD wrap can be purchased with perforated sides so it is easy to make.  The slim line wraps that I make need to be manually trimmed to size.  I have not seen anyone who has perforated  slim line DVD wraps yet.  Glossy photo paper makes these look fantastic!

I will send you the template files I used FREE on a CD-r IF you let me know at the time of your request that you need them.

HAPPY LABEL MAKING!!!
