Lets bring back stadium rock.

I brought a CD to work the other day after watching the latest episode of Family Guy. Bryan what CD could the latest episode of Family Guy could have possible made you want to bring to work? Well for anyone who watched the June 12th episode of Family Guy you know there was an awesome rendition of Don't Stop Believing. That's right I had to bring in my Journey LIVE CD and listen to it (thanks Ann). After getting through the hour long CD and holding back tears it's when I realized there needs to be more stadium rock!

That' right I said it. But not shitty stadium rock. I want rock from good bands like Journey, Def Leopard, Styx and Boston. Bands that invented a new rock. A rock with kick ass guitar solos on a double octave guitar, deep lyrics and where the bass drum just echoes for hours in your head. I want a band that can write a power ballad that can make Charles Bronson cry. I want songs like Faithfully, Open Arms and Lady. Songs that make me appreciate humanity again.

Now you maybe thinking that I want to hear power ballads from other bands like Poison and Motley Crue. Fuck no I don't. Better yet I don't even want to name any of their songs cause they sucked. Made purely for one purpose and that was to woo the fuck sluts at their concerts. The cum dumpsters who were only there to say "I slept with Tommy Lee" and then realize they are just as lonely and shallow as they were before.

Journey made good stadium rock. They made love songs that make men think about getting married. They made songs that make a man think about dancing alone with the woman they love in her gown and he in his tux in a faintly lit spot light in the center of hundreds of jealous friends. I want to marry a girl named Jessie.

Maybe I shouldn't have written this rant while listening to the CD. Ok now that I'm done wearing the mangina I want to hear some new stadium rock. Let's all get together and vote for Open Arms on TRL on August 1st. Come on!  Let's show all those stupid TRL bitches what good music is. Who's with me? Let's make Journey number 1 again!
