Welcome

Boy Scouts of America Troop 829 is sponsored by St. Rose of Lima in Gaithersburg, Maryland. We meet every Wednesday evening from 7 until 8:30. We conduct monthly outings and have visited such places as the Yorktown carrier in Charleston, South Carolina. We have attended summer camp at Rodney for several years and recently took the Troop to Heritage in Pennsylvania. We have participated in Scouting on the Mall in Washington DC and also been given the honor of performing Retreat at Fort Sumter South Carolina. Flag Retirement Ceremony

Our Troop has decided to attempt to specialize in Flag Retirement procedures. We have had several retirement ceremonies and conducted several throughout the day on the Mall. We have a large Flag to be retired 60' x 30' and hope to set up a special day and ceremony to perform this retirement. If you would like to read about our ceremony please click here.
