1999 Fulbright Delegation

On Tuesday, October 5, 1999 a delegation of 200 educators representing the United States of America arrived in Tokyo to study Japan's educational system and to exchange ideas with Japanese educators. As part of the Fulbright Memorial Fund Program, the educators visited schools, met with government officials and attended seminars on Japanese education. This cultural exchange and professional development program also included visits to important sites in Tokyo.

The program in Japan included an introduction to Tokyo. The visits to the city's important landmarks and cultural sites helped the Fulbright Memorial Fund participants get acquainted with Tokyo during the first day of the program.
