the cypress sea

cypress seathe cypress sea (right) has been chartering dive trips to monterey, carmel, and the big sur coast since 1988. they have charters for every level of diver, ranging from regular (3 dives in 45 to 85 feet of water) to advanced (2 or 3 dives in 80 to 100 feet of water) to extreme (divers have to be pre-qualified and dive to depths exceeding 100 feet).

cypress seathe cypress sea provides tanks (left) and air-fills, so divers should bring all of the other necessary gear including weights. In addition, queezy divers should bring their sea-sickness medication because this dive boat was designed for the open ocean and doesn't turn back just because the weather gets exciting!

crewthe boat is equipped to serve 22 divers. Highlights include fresh hot water showers on deck, and snacks and drinks offered throughout the trip. buffet lunch is offered on 3-dive trips.

the crew (right) is very friendly and experienced, and definitely can find the best dive sites!

my cypress sea dives are included on my logged dives page. a description of monterey dive sites can by found on my dive sites page.

tusa dive

hastings reeftusa dive has been taking divers out on the great barrier reef since 1986.

it departs daily from cairns, australia, and takes divers and snorklers to two spectacular sites, my sites being hastings reef (left) and michaelmas cay.

tusa divetusa dive (right) offers services such as rental gear, guided dives, and underwater video.

tusa dive cruises up to 20 knots, so queezy divers beware; on a choppy ocean the ride can be rough! my tusa dives are included on my logged dives page. a description of great barrier reef dive sites can by found on my dive sites page.

republic VII

republic VIIconch republic divers are located in tavernier, FL, which is just south of key largo. they have access to some of the best sites in the florida keys via their boat, republic VII (right).

In addition to shallow and intermediate reefs, they also dive the major wrecks in the area: the U.S. coast guard cutter duane, bibb, spiegel grove and the eagle. Unfortunately, the seas were too rough to dive these wrecks when I went!

my republic VII dives are included on my logged dives page. a description of the florida keys dive sites can by found on my dive sites page.
