Who Wants to be a Mathematician?
Our own Jacob Kautzky took home $1000 and a TI-nSpire CX calculator after winning the local version of the AMS (American Mathematical Society) "Who Wants to be a Mathematician" competition held at the Minnesota Science Museum on Oct. 13th. He won his heat pretty handily, then won the final round on a question regarding the relationship between the values of square versus quartic terms of a polynomial. Congratulations, Jacob!Mandelbrot Individual
