Scouting calendar

The holidays are coming fast and the Troop has a lot on their calendar too.   Here is a run down of activities through Christmas as well as our Tree recycle event.  I hope your boy can participate in many of them but the most important dates are December 12^th and Jan 2^nd.  These two Saturdays are fundraising…  the boys will split about $1000 for their camp accounts and we fund the troop budget for 2010.  Also, scouts can help sell Christmas trees for the Lions on December 19^th and 20^th … boys earn additional dollars. 

Nov 6-8 Camp Meriwether campout at the beach.

Nov 9^th Regular scout meeting… Troop elections

Nov 16^th Regular scout meeting…. snow shoe building

Nov 23^rd New Boy Leadership training night (for Troop Leadership Team)

Nov 24^th Swimming night (TUESDAY – 6:30 departure ) EATS form attached and due on Nov 16th

Nov 30^th Regular scout meeting…. snow shoe building

Dec 5^th – Scouting for Food & Kroc center – Pizza, rock climbing and swimming (EATS form coming soon)

Dec 7^th – PLC – boy leadership planning meeting

Dec 12^th – Christmas Tree Recycling “flier” distribution – getting the word out across West Salem.

Dec 14^th – Court of Honor

Dec 19 and 20^th – Lion’s Christmas tree sales

Dec 21^st – Christmas party – decorate a tree for Gracie’s Place

Jan 2^nd – Christmas Tree Recycling Event – all day event

Jan 4^th – PLC- boy leadership planning meeting

Jan 8-10 – Big Lake Snow Lodge Trip  - Registration & $30 needed by Dec 7^th.  Almost half full - 14 spaces left.
