Learning that Sticks
     Thirteen preschool-primary activities are arranged into three categories -- Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Beginner activities focus on following directions, ordering, and beginning sounds; intermediate activities involve words and letters; and advanced activities include practice working with opposites, synonyms, rhyming words, and adjectives. (Requires Macromedia Flash)
Number Time Play a Game
     The BBC maintains this colorful site, which provides math games and activities for students in preschool and primary grades. Children can choose from six games that teach addition, subtraction, matching, and counting. The site also includes songs, story animations, and printable activity pages.  (Requires Macromedia Shockwave.)

    For all preschool and primary students, the games at the site are categorized in four subject areas -- math, science, social studies, and language arts -- and can be accessed either by subject area or alphabetically. 
Seussville University
     Four favorite Seuss characters guide students through the various sections of this kiddy college. Horton the Elephant heads the reading department; Yertle the Turtle teaches math; the Lorax leads the science area; and Sam-I-Am handles such reasoning skills as comparison and patterns.
