They
made a difference...
commemorating the contributions of
scientists past and present.
It is hard to imagine what the world would be today without the discoveries of these amazing men and women.
Your task is to create a commemorative stamp to honor your scientist.
You'll need to write a brief biography on their life including their schooling, contributions,
and a picture of your person. We'll be using a variety of resources to gather this information.
Library Resources
If you know which scientist you are looking for...use the OPAC to locate a biography on your person.
General Encyclopedias are very helpful. Look in the Research Guide if your scientist is not in the volume you expect
to find it in.Specialized Encyclopedias such as:
Exploring Earth and Space Science (REF 550.3)
Internet Resources
