CLUB INFORMATION

The Club meets in the Cooper Mountain Elementary School two times per week (one in the evening, one after school) starting in September 2005.  No club meetings will be held on school closure days.

What: The Chess Club is a group of kids who enjoy playing, and parents who enjoy teaching chess.

Who: For all Cooper Mountain children, from K - 5, of all playing levels, including those who have never played before. Limited numbers of guest members from other schools/grades K-5 in BSD are accepted as long as we have volunteer help.  Instruction is conducted by parent volunteers. We also welcome any and all other parents who would like to help out (especially Moms, to make the female participants feel more comfortable).  Membership will be limited to first 50 applicants.

Where: In the Cooper Mountain School Cafeteria (evenings) and Art Literacy Room (after school). If conflicts arise in the future, we will announce backup sites.

When:            Tuesdays:  After school, from 3:10 pm to 4:10 pm. (Computer Instruction & Free Play)
