2006 Soccer Season Quads (Soccer not included!) - OSCF Qualifier Tournaments!

Fall is Soccer Season.   The Soccer Season Quads are half day chess tournaments designed for those busy soccer players who have game conflicts on Saturdays. Of course, those who cannot live without competitive chess during this time are welcome too.  Each tournament counts as one OSCF Qualifier, so beat the winter rush and get qualified early!

These Quads (Round Robin Style tournaments) have been held on three or four Sundays, in consecutive months starting early Fall, at the Portland Chess Club.  Check in typically starts around 12:30 pm and play ends before 6 pm.

The tournaments are dual (NWSRS and USCF) rated.  Proof of USCF membership is required to play.

Players are grouped by ratings and divided into 4 person quads (for those rated roughly 1000 or above) and 5 or 6 person round robin groups for the rest.   Higher of the two (USCF or NWSRS) ratings will be used to make groups.

Limited enrollment, max 40 people.  You may sign up for a maxmum of 3 events in advance.
